The West Course is steeped in history, a delightful place featuring neat greens alongside the area's typically colourful stony beaches, with wonderfully tricky blind shots and fabulous ridges across the fairways.
Expect a famously eccentric course whose foibles tempt golfers back time and time again.
This course serves as the ultimate challenge for golfers of every ability, enhanced by the splendid views across the water to the mighty volcanic plug that is Bass Rock. Craigleith, Lamb and Fidra are also within view, a sight so lovely it's impossible to forget.

Featured hole – Hole 15
North Berwick golf course includes the supremely tricky 190 yard Par 3 hole 15, known as Redan, with its 14 stroke index. The professionals know exactly how to handle this challenging green which slopes dramatically from right to left and foxes some of the world's finest players. Since Redan is such a short hole, you need to ensure that your tee shot carries all the way (if you've ever played a particularly short hole elsewhere, there's a good chance it was copied from Redan - the original and, many would say, the best).
Known for being a true test of the golfer's imagination and skill
The North Berwick course was ranked 50th place by America’s Golf Digest in its Top 100 Golf Course rankings for 2016/17, a rise of 15 places that cements its already great reputation.
