Yesterday, St Andrew's Day, marked one year since the official opening of the Kingsbarns Distillery & Visitors Centre. Local people, businesses and representatives from the whisky and tourism industry were present to hear William Wemyss, Director, and Douglas Clement, Founding Director and Visitor Centre Manager, thank everyone for their support so far in what was described as a challenging but ultimately successful year.

William and Douglas also took the opportunity to launch the Kingsbarns Distillery Founders' Club, which will see 3000 members receive a bottle of new make spirit on joining, one of the first bottles of Kingsbarns Single Malt Founders' Reserve in mid-2018 along with four further bottlings annually until 2022.

Along with being entertained with music and poetry from the National Bard, performed by members of the Visitor Centre's Team, those in attendance were able to raise a glass of the Distillery's new make spirit in celebration. 

With a footfall of 20,000 and 8,000 visitor tours booked in its first year, things are certainly looking healthy for the future and continued success of the Distillery.
